About Us
Wilson Park Advisory Council (WPAC) is a non profit all volunteer group dedicated to enhancing the community's experience while visiting or using the facilities or play places at the Wilson Playground and Community Center.
We are working with the Chicago Park District, The Parkways Foundation, Alderman James Balcer's Office, Senator Tony Muñoz and local residents to improve the recreation opportunities for residents young and old in the West Bridgeport Neighborhood surrounding the Wilson Playground located at 1122 West 34th Place.
WPAC represents the community interest in the following main areas:
- Improving and maintaining all areas of Wilson Playground
- Advocating and creating new programs that meet the community’s needs.
Our goal is to make Wilson Playground an exceptional example of urban park design and planning and to engage the entire business and residential community in the process.
Through fund raising and other support events, the WPAC seeks to solicit funds from both public and private entities for capital improvement in Wilson Playground as well as program development.
